What's On This Weekend // Events In Krakow // 12th & 13th January 2019
"What are you doing this weekend?"
Without fail, you will be asked this question every single Friday by co-workers, friends, children (we even ask ourselves)... but the answer often eludes us and we reply with a resounding "ummmmmmm", finger resting limply on our stupid planless chins.
When you are in a city as vibrant and active as Krakow, with a new festival or market every week, exhibitions on every corner and concerts next door, there's no reason we should be left umming and ahhing about how we're going to fill our mini-holiday-fun-space-time.
With so much going on, it can even be overwhelming - the fear of missing out on something better leaves us in a procrastinatory paralysis. We feel your pain, so, we have done the research for you.
Here is our list of the best stuff happening this weekend in music, art, fun, culture, food & more. Now, get out there and have yourself an adventure!
"The 2018 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour is a 91-minute theatrical program of seven short films selected from this year’s Festival, widely considered the premier showcase for short films and the launchpad for many now-prominent independent filmmakers for more than 30 years. Including fiction, documentary and animation from around the world, the 2018 program offers new audiences a taste of what the Festival offers, from laugh-out-loud comedy to contemplative reflections of the world we live in."

"We open the new year with a new chapter called the All Nighter b2b formula, where two DJs play all night, nonstop. We are dedicating January sessions to the best representatives of the Polish club scene, so it was obvious that masters of the underground should be a part of it.
For the first time, Olivia played b2b with Dtekk in January 2017 at We Are Radar party, whose guest was DJ Stingray. What happened that night at Szpitalna exceeded all expectations. The parquet was burning. There was no option to stop. Later, the legendary Secret Location True Believers 2 in Bialystok took place, where these performed a set that forever entered history. Now there is a chance to relive it. Take it!"

"Liz grew up in Seattle, where she realized she wanted to do more with her Creative Writing degree than sleep on her mom's couch and watch reruns of Ghost Adventures. After relocating to Minneapolis in 2011, she began shaping her edgy and assertive style of comedy at Acme Comedy Company and the Comedy Corner Underground. One year after stepping on stage for the first time, Liz was voted a finalist in the "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities" contest for her sharp and percipient humor. In 2015, she moved home to Seattle and began to produce and host "One Laugh at a Time," a hugely popular comedy showcase featuring sober comedians and comedians in recovery from around the Pacific Northwest. Liz relocated to Brno, Czech Republic in 2017 to begin a new life abroad and it made her act even stronger. The Brno Daily reviewed a recent performance as "a high-octane blow-by-blow account of her chaotic life in a crazy world, complete with tall (scary) tales of US life and personal perspectives on alcoholism and sobriety. Her set ranged between sex, drugs, animals, Trojan horses, and (inevitably) Czech people, and she ended on a high with a sex-rated salacious flourish."
