One of the most renowned contemporary Polish sculptors, Antioni Rząsa was influenced by his roots, the south-eastern borderline of Poland, as well as by his artistic mentors. His oeuvre combines elements of early Renaissance, Polish folk and Orthodox iconography. As the loner artist would reluctantly part with his works, the majority of them have been presented in the Gallery since 1976.
