Owned by former AC-Milan superstar and Croatian football legend, Zvonimir Boban, what better way to salute the man than spending a few kuna in his very own drinking hole. If you're that big a fan you can enjoy a drink in the upstairs bar before proceeding downstairs for a meal. Frequented by much of Zagreb society's upper crust, Boban is the place to be if you like to dress up, act sophisticated and mingle with the big shots (even if you don't have a clue who they are). This hangout is renowned for the presence of some of Zagreb's finest, and however impressive it may seem elsewhere, your England shirt and flawless knowledge of the lyrics to 'three lions' probably won't get you far here.

A good place to eat. Not sure about the bad reviews about the service. I have always found the staff to be quite friendly.

The service was very good, polite and efficient. The food was really nice too. A lovely meal all round.

i found that the staff is very rude. i leaft my phone and when i was back in a few minutes they had obviously taken it and said they had nothing to do with it while giggling at me.. next time i come with a baseball bat...

The food is OK, the service is OK if you are a regular patron, the wine list is small and the prices are OK.

The service was slow, but the food was OK. Overall seemed a bit fake and I would have preferred to have spent my time somewhere more "authentic".

We went there last week (Sept 2008). Had a good meal (both in terms of size and quality), nice local wine list - the Zlatan Plavec was particularly good and friendly attentive service. The only down-side was the loud americans trying to jump the queue

Well, to kick off, the service is incredibly bad.. I mean, we have been waiting for 45 minutes! After that, decision was made to leave, however I wanted to write a complaint in the "complaint-book" or whatever you call it. This book needs to be present at all times by law, however, the staff at Boban's disappointed me again, by telling me that there is no such book. The bar is nothing special either, kind of corny.Do yourself a favor, and don't visit Boban's. Cheers.

I've been to Boban (bar) a few times and I must say it's nothing special. Service is only OK, surroundings have no real ambience and the layout is not particularly good.

Boban, just a tip: Screen the reviews before your post them! I'm not saying censor the bad ones (though, since it is your web site, that would be the thing to do if you're interested in marketing yourself and self-preservation); but you should make an effort to keep obscenities off your site. Just a tip. By the way, I lived in Zagreb for two years and went to your bar once. The snooty patrons were off-putting.

This place is legendary in Zagreb. This is literally where all the cool people hang out, on any given night (not to mention the weekends) its full of people. Always warm and inviting, as if you were at a good friends home. Service is excellent, coffee is excellent, Zvonina torta is famous. The restaurant (which is below the cafe) is beyond words. Everything is amazing. This is a must place for anyone visiting Zagreb and a staple for those that live there.
