Jarun Lake
Editor's review
Between day and night, winter and summer, Jarun Lake features activities for all age groups and is an immensely popular destination for Croatians and foreigners alike. You'll have already read about clubs and bars on the lake but, for those with fewer vices, or indeed for those seeking a little purity to balance out their 'wicked' side, Jarun Lake provides a retreat from city life only a few tram stops from the city centre. 250 hectares of man-made lakes and beaches await you for water sports, some nature spotting and, during the summer, an altogether different kind of nature observation on the river banks. Providing the weather is good, note down Jarun Lake on your list of things to do or improvise and fit it in before (or after) a night at one of its many clubs. Trams 5 and 17 run between 04:00 and 23:00 and no. 34 appears every 40 mins or so during those blurry hours between night and day.

on a hot day everybody but everybody heads out to Jarun lake. It's perfect! watersports, Croatian girls in bikinis and at night fantastic clubs like piranha and aquarius. if you can't make it to the coast then this is nearly as good
