With its abundance of wacky movie memorabilia, from vintage cameras to framed posters of Hollywood stars, and with dishes given names like 'Blues Brothers' and 'Marilyn Fingers', you might think Pod Papugami was in serious danger of being naff. Somehow it cheekily sidesteps this tag, delivering a cafe-cum-restaurant with such a vibrant atmosphere that we defy you to find a more upbeat and fun place to lunch in Wroclaw. Its location, bang in the middle of the Rynek, means that it is always crowded with a mix of locals and tourists, who noisily bustle in and out throughout the day, eager to refresh themselves after a particularly gruelling spate of retail therapy or an arduous sight-seeing session. It's a tough life!

Wow! What a find for us. Best meal we had in Wroclaw and it was the 28 zl luncheon special. Outstanding onion soup; a generous dish of chicken w/onions and mushrooms in a delicious brown sauce/green salad with tomatoes/freshly mashed potatoes; and dessert. Probably the best meal for the money in the entire city. And the service could not have been better. This will be our "go to" restaurant in Wroclaw from now on.

I have been coming to Pod Papugami for the last 6 years of my stay in Wroclaw and I absolutely count it to my favorite restaurants worldwide. I will miss this place horribly! Beautiful life music 4 times a week, (the blond singer is a star!), the food is delicious (especially the goat cheese salad with nuts and grapes & the Tiramisu), the atmosphere always pleasant and the service very acceptable! Definitely a restaurant I would recommend to anyone visiting Wroclaw. Enjoy & smacznego! P.S: The breakfast is marvelous too!

Fabulous place! Busy restaurant with excellent food! Very good atmosphere warmed up by lovely smile from the waitress. Also very big thanks to the barman - we had excellent drinks!

I found the staff very helpful. There was 4 of us and most of the tables were booked or occupied, but the waitress managed to fit us in. The atmosphere was very good and the food was delicious. Definitely a place to go!

Everything is great in this restaurant; the atmosphere, the service, but most of all the food - I've been around 6 times now and every time the food is always really fresh, tasty and well presented.
