Wroclaw Mayor Tops Ranking Yet Again

Wroclaw's mayor has once again topped Newsweek's annual ranking of Polish mayors. Now in his ninth year in the position, Rafal Dutkiewicz is clearly a popular politician and his work continues to be recognized by not only Wroclawians but national media such as the Polish edition of Newsweek.

While the capital city of Warsaw was not taken into account in the ranking, all of Poland's cities and large towns were in the running. Behind Dutkiewicz were mayors from the towns of Poznan, Mielec, Bialystok, and Sopot.

When compiling the ranking, Newsweek took into account several factors and the mayor's input on their development including the economy, social issues, and cultural activities. Read more on the ranking results at thenews.pl.
