Olympics Continue as Poland Sweeps Double Gold

The 2012 Summer Olympics, currently underway in London, England, have been a relative success for Poland, which is currently in 28th place in the Olympics medal table. Thats just one position behind Brazil and one above Croatia.

With just a few more days to go, Poland has managed to already sweep up 9 medals in total, including two golds. Both golds were won on 3 August, one by Tomasz Majewski in the Mens shot put, and one by Adrian Zielinski in the Mens 85 kg weightlifting. One silver was won by Sylwia Bogacka in the Womens 10 metre air rifle shooting competition. Bronze medals were also won in rowing, weightlifting, wrestling, sailing, and canoeing.

The London 2012 Olympics will continue until Sunday 12 August.
