New Hungarian Restaurant At Chlodna

U Madziara has recently opened on ul. Chlodna and offers excellent Hungarian food at very affordable prices, the main courses start at just 14 zl and before 4pm there is a 10% discount.

Chef and owner Gabor Szekeres was a finalist in the Chef Of The Year contest 2008. He is often seen talking with the diners and creates dishes that look and taste fantastic by focussing on attention to detail.

Gabor settled in Poland 18 years ago and joined the Sheraton Hotel where he studied under Kurt fachu culinary Schellera and Adam Chrzęstowskiego. After working abroad as a chef with Viking River Cruises and the Hungarian Restaurant Zolton Trona Borpince he decided to open his own restaurant.

We at Warsaw Life have tried several dishes from the Pork Goulash (19zl), Stewed Pork with Marjoram, garlic and mixed with fried potatoes(19zl), Pork Steak with potatoes (27zl) and the one of the many vegetarian options (Roasted Peppers, onion, tomato, rice)(14zl). Every dish we have tried has been first class and introduced us to the tastes and flavours of spicy Hungarian Cooking.

The drinks are all reasonably priced too with coffee and drinks like Coca Cola at just 5zl. Very soon there will also be a selection on Hungarian Wines and other alcoholic drinks.
