Tourist Routes Launch in Warsaw

Warsaw's public transport committee ZTM has launched its annual summertime tourist routes, allowing for cheap and convenient sightseeing in Warsaw's most picturesque corners.

Summer is the only time the ZTM service extends to the Vistula river, with a 2 hour cruise along Warsaw's shores or an even more extensive day trip (8 hours) from central Warsaw along the Zeran channel, Zegrze reservoir, and ending in the picturesque town of Serock, before returning to Warsaw.

Planning to visit Warsaw's Old Town? The ZTM now also offers horse-drawn trolley rides along the district's cobblestoned streets from Zamkowy (Castle) Square. For a more practical trip on the Vistula river, skip the bus ride and jump on a free ferry joining the left and right banks.

Alternatively you can hop on the bus number 444, which starts at the Central Train Station and stops at such popular summertime sights as the Warsaw Zoo and the newly opened Copernicus Science Centre (standard bus fare applies).

For full information, including ticket prices and detailed routes, head to the ZTM's English website.
