Magpies fly to Tallinn

Newcastle United Football Club from the North of England, have been drawn to play FC Levadia Tallinn in the first round of the UEFA cup on the 14th September in Tallinn.

The high-flying "Magpies" will fancy their chances against their hosts when they arrive, with an array of international stars, to play in the A Le Coq Stadium - a 9,000 seater named after the famous Estonian beer of the same name.

Despite being labelled as minnows of European football, FC Levadia Tallinn are unlikely to be pushovers after becoming the first Estonian side to qualify for the UEFA cup with a 2-1 win on aggregate over Dutch side FC Twente. Levadia are also enjoying an enormously successful domestic season with 22 wins and 2 draws in 24 for games, and a more than impressive goal difference of 65 in their favour.

If Levadia can squeeze a draw or a sneak victory in Tallinn it could set up an nail-biting return leg in Newcastle on the 28th.

However to do they will have to find a way to nullify Newcastle's impressive new signing, the Nigerian international Obafemi Martins, who is all set to continue Alan Shearer's work in the famed number 9 shirt.
