Backstage opened in May 2000 and hosts nightly live performances by Bulgarian and international artists. Monthly there are jazz or pop concerts, which are broadcast live on Jazz FM Radio. Every Wednesday is Blues Night with the best Bulgarian blues musicians playing their hearts out.

I can't speak for the standard of acts over a period of time but we dropped by on two consecutive nights to catch some really laid back jazz. The atmosphere is relaxed. Definitely give it a try

Very nice club. Relaxed people. I've been there on the 14th of may 2010. Perfect band with Ivan Lechev. Superb!!

Nice place for concerts, and the Bulgarians I met there were really laid back and friendly, I recommend it!

It's good to know that jazz is alive and well around the world. Add to that some good local brew and you're set.
