Van Damme has smashing time in Sofia bar

Martial arts maestro Jean Claude Van Damme is reported to have smashed up furnishings at a Sofia bar after a night out turned bitter when the actor lost his watch.

The Belgian legend, often dubbed the muscles from Brussels, is in Bulgaria for the filming of The Expendables II, Sylvester Stallone's latest flick.

According to witnesses, the kickboxing star had lost an arm wrestling match with a fellow drinker, but that was not the cause of the actor's distress.

Rather, as the clock drew towards eight in the morning, Van Damme spotted that his watch had gone missing.

Convinced that one of the bar's clientele had stolen the item as a souvenir, the actor apparently flew into a rage, smashing up glasses and a table.

Van Damage, as he is also known, is playing a villain in Stalone's movie.

The feature sees a string of eighties veterans get together, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris.

The Expendables II is due out in August 2012.
