Armani To Open In Sofia

The Armani group has announced the opening of new shops in Sofia and St Petersburg. The Sofia shop is at Vitosha and is on three floors with a surface area of 330 metres squared and is the first in Bulgaria.

The floors and walls are mother of pearl with a special silver finishing to reflect the clothes. There is a big LED screen, which dominates the entrance, showing the Spring 2005 collection, while in the men's and women's departments there is a big luminous poster with the image of the current advertising campaign in the background to the clothes.

The other new Emporio Armani store, in Russia, is in St Petersburg, and is over 3709 square metres. Armani has been in Russia since 2001 with a shop in Moscow followed by an Armani Home store, an Armani Collection and an Armani Jeans store.

Both shops have been designed by Giorgio Armani with the architect, Ivana Invernizzi and an in-house team, in line with the image of the stores recently opened in Osaka and Paris. Giorgio Armani commented that the shops are part of a strategy to create and environment in which the shop's architecture is supportive of the presentation of the collections in a modern and accessible way.
