Reims Gospel under Bulgarian Scientific Scrutiny

A team of Bulgarian scientists will study the Reims Gospel on which French kings used to swear an oath upon their coronation. Sofia has received the first multimedia presentation of the gospel's pages written in the Old Bulgarian languages of Cyrillic and Glagolic, the chairman of the parliamentary commission on human rights and confessions Luchezar Toshev said. The Reims Gospel is a transcript (XI - XIV c.) from an Old-Bulgarian gospel of XI century and is nowadays stored in the town library of the town of Reims, France. The multimedia edition of the valuable transcript was given to Bulgaria by Reims Archbishop Thierry Jordan with the assistance of the Holy See Apostolic Nunciature to Sofia.
