We're not sure why, but for some reason one always finds American tourists in American restaurants abroad, which begs the question of why some people even make the effort to travel at all. But we're not here to judge, but to inform, no matter how fun as judging can be. Anyhow, though Ai Karamba may be attempting to imitate the American diner style, its menu is as diversified as America itself, offering everything from kebabs to Wiener schnitzel to curry to, of course, a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. And luckily, Ai Karamba has enough Riga kitsch mixed in with American kitsch to be a cultural experience in itself, which helps soften the guilt trip of flying several thousand miles to dine on American cuisine.
