Belarusian-Latvian Investment Forum in Full Swing

The third Belarusian-Latvian investment-financial forum is taking place this week in Latvia's capital, from the 8th until the 10th of October. The forum also includes a session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Latvian Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation. The forum will discuss trade cooperation between the two countries, as well as cooperation in the banking and investment spheres and in specific industries such as petrochemistry and pharmaceutics.

As exciting as all this sounds, what does that mean for Riga? Well, once again Riga is proving its status as a world-class city, with the facilities and ability to play host to international conferences and events. And with Latvia and Belarus trading about $565 million worth of goods and services, this forum will prove very important for the prosperity of both post-Communist countries.
