Quite possibly the best Indian restaurant in the whole of Prague, and certainly the one with the most intimate ambiance, Lal Qila is located in a stone-walled cellar in Vinohrady, so off the beaten track but a detour that you certainly will not regret. Lal Qila specialises in South Indian dishes (for the uninitiated the Chicken Chettinand is sensational), and the lunchtime ‘all you can eat’ buffet on weekdays for less than 5 euros has to be one of the best culinary bargains in the city.
While so many Indian restaurants serve overpriced, average quality food, Lal Qila does exactly the opposite, and the out-of-the-way location means that it never seems too busy, making this restaurant a must-visit destination for any true curry lover in Prague.
