U Fleků is a brewery, restaurant and series of beer halls, located in a historic building where the proprietors have been brewing beer for more than 500 years. Popular with large tour groups, U Fleků has 1,200 seats spread over eight halls and a garden, and the atmosphere is what might be described as typically Germanic, meaning Oompah-style bands playing thigh-slapping music, and fellow diners of all ages sitting virtually on top of each other at long communal tables. So best to get into the spirit of things and enjoy the historic setting, U Fleků’s own dark lager, and the excellent range of traditional and hearty Czech food on offer here.
