Conveniently located in the old town, the decent quality, well-prepared and reasonably priced Czech culinary classics on offer at Kolkovna make it a great first stop for those uninitiated into the delights of Bohemian and Moravian cuisine. This busy pub and restaurant is also popular with locals giving it an authenticity and welcoming, cheerful atmosphere. Get stuck in to the hearty portions on offer, whether duck, rabbit, wild boar, beef, pork or chicken - Kolkovna is a meat lover’s dream, so vegetarians (and non-smokers) may want to look elsewhere. Kolkovna also takes real pride in its beer, making it one of best places to sample the classic Pilsener Urquell. Oh, and please don’t complain about occasionally erratic service standards - this is the Czech Republic not the Republic of California ... Kolkovna has various other branches in Prague at: Na Příkopě 10, Vítězná 7, Budějovická 13a and U garáží 1611/1.
