BeerGeek is a phenomenal concept that has taken Prague by storm since it opened in October 2014. Essentially staff at BeerGeek don’t know how many beers they sell because the selection on offer is constantly changing based on the latest seasonal releases from local and international breweries. Two large screens display what is available on the day, with roughly 30 beers on offer at any one time, including lagers, pale ales and stouts of varying strengths - a recent inclusion being the scarily potent Danish ‘Director’s Cut’ at 17% proof. As the name implies, BeerGeek is passionate about what it does, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, with paunches demonstrating real commitment to the cause. BeerGeek is a non-smoking basement bar that turns beer drinking into a specialist and truly civilised pastime.
