Bus stop named after chewing gum brand

As from now one of Poznan's bus stops, Obodrzycka will bear another name, Orbit. This is the city's 'thank you' to Wrigley, the chewing gum producer, which founded two bus shelters by its factory, to be used by employees commuting to and from work and promised to maintain the investment in good shape. The stop serves line no. 65 and two night lines. According to Tomasz Łapszewicz from the Municipal Transport Bard, Obodrzycka St., being distant from the strict centre and thus not attractive for advertising companies, had small chances for renovation and up to date maintenance. Obodrzycka/Orbit stop is the third one in Poznan named after a brand. The other two are Lechicka/Poznań Plaza and Lutycka II/Pharmgas.
