Polish Theatres Sweep Awards at Edinburgh Fringe

The acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe festival has once again proved a fantastic stage for Polish theatres, as several picked up a variety of awards as the festival wound down in recent weeks.

Two well-known Wroclaw theatre groups were recognized for their achievements. Teatr Zar received a Total Theatre Award for Physical/Visual Theare, as well as a Bank of Scotland Herald Angel. The Song of the Goat Theatre received also received a Bank of Scotland Herald Angel, as well as a Judges Discretionary Award in the MTM:UK Musical Theatre Matters Awards, and a Scotsman Fringe First Award.

Poznans own Mouth to Mouth Republic theatre group was awarded a Bank of Scotland Little Devil award for its play Cadillac.
