The Chinese Pilot
Editor's review
Known in Russian as the Kitaysky Lyotchik Dzhao-Da, the anglicised title, 'The Chinese Pilot Jao-Da', is fractionally easier to pronounce (hence favoured by Moscow Life!). This place is something of two-fingers up to the champagne and hookers clubs that dominate much of Moscow. It is basically a big, dirty student den and as such makes a great venue for getting drunk, listening to live music and collecting random experiences in general. In fact until you've declared your undying love to a beautiful blonde Russian rockstar, been rejected, and then drowned your tears in the mosh pit (all to the sound of Russian uber-rockers, Tequilajazz), then you probably haven't been to the Chinese Pilot at all...

Don't touch the Chinese food, which is truly awful, worst I've ever had. The music is mixed, but yes there is something about the atmosphere...

Love, love this place! So much better than the usual overpriced and plastic Moscow clubs,,,

The Chinese Pilot is a must in Moscow. Great atmosphere. Great beer. Great people. And the music is simply awesome. Check it!

Great food, great atmosphere, great live music - only advice is don't go with an insane drunken Russian guy who doesn't speak any English. Could turn into a long evening...
