Final Ball Revealed in Moscow

Adidas revealed their sparkling new match ball for the highly anticipated 2008 Champions League Final in Moscow, which will be played on the 21st May.

'The Finale Moscow' as the ball is dubbed is an eye-catching mix of red and gold and the designers are said to have taken their inspiration from Red Square, the Kremlin and the gold domes of Moscow's numerous cathedrals.

The ball was unveiled during an impressive ceremony at the GUM shopping mall during which the 2007 champions, AC Milan, returned the Champions League trophy back to UEFA's President, Michel Platini. Monsieur P then handed the trophy over to the Moscow's Mayor, Yuri Luzhkov, for the city to retain and display until the day of the final at Luzhniki Stadium.

At this stage who will play in the 2008 final is still to be decided, but Brits will be keeping a firm eye on proceedings, with four teams - Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea all bidding for glory.
