With its location directly across from the British embassy and friendly English-speaking staff, it's no wonder News Cafe is wildly popular with expats and frequent visitors to Minsk. The prices are a little higher than most cafes in Minsk, but by no means overpriced - the food (salads, sandwiches, pasta) is fresh and delicious, and the coffee is brewed with an expert hand. And with its wide array of foreign-language newspapers and free wifi, News Cafe really is one of the best choices in Minsk for a leisurely lunch or evening cocktail. Particularly if you're looking for a moment of familiar comfort.
