Let’s call Miami International Airport (MIA) a necessary evil. To its credit, renovations have and are being done to improve the airport aesthetically and for convenience: i.e. there is now a people mover connecting terminals. However, for years the airport has been under construction, which often causes chaotic rerouting, inconvenience, and lines. In recent years, on-time statistics have been fairly decent, but do check Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) for fare comparisons.
