Cracow-Lviv In 7 Hours

Polish and Ukrainian Railway announced that the re-opening of the Lviv-Cracow train connection will probably take place in May 2009.

The State Territorial-Branch Association Lviv Railway and PKP (Polish Railway) aim at creating a good flow of passangers for Euro2012. Thanks to technological innovations and repair works on most of the railway tracks that have been going on for quite a while, the trip from Lviv to Cracow will take about 7 hours (3 hours less that it does today).

According to the railway companies, riding the train will be more comfortable - especially in the sleeping-car. The "wonder-train" will also stop in cities such as Przemysl and Chelm where passangers will be able to change the train and travel to any Polish city.
