This brand new shopping mecca has recently popped up in the East London area of Stratford, in an area technically part of the Olympic Park. With 175 000 m2 of retail space, Westfield Stratford City is considered Europe’s largest urban shopping centre, stealing the prize from its West London cousin Westfield London. There are hundreds of shops from well-known brands, including a Waitrose, John Lewis, and Marks and Spencer. Inside the mall you’ll also find 70 dining options across all manner of budgets, a Vue cinema, bowling lanes, two hotels, and a casino. But while it may seem like a quieter escape from the throngs of Oxford Street, Westfield can get just as busy - peak times like Saturday afternoon are best avoided.
