Sprawling Heathrow is London’s primary airport, handling some 70 million passengers a year. Heathrow is also the best-connected airport to central London, located just over 20km west of the city centre. All five of Heathrow’s terminals are connected to the city via the Tube, which has three stations of the Piccadilly line located across the airport. This method of going to and from the airport is the cheapest and one of the most convenient, but the train services are by far the quickest. All trains head to Paddington station, with Heathrow Connect clocking in at 26 minutes and Heathrow Connect getting you to the London’s centre in an impressive 15 minutes.
