This is the Polish brother of the Hungarian option next door - both restaurants take their name from the old expression: "The Pole and the Magyar like brothers stand, whether with sword or with tankard in hand." You'll find the Polish part tucked away in the courtyard of ul. Poselska 22 (in summer it's a perfect spot for some al fresco adventures). The decor mixes the classic with the contemporary, and there are some rather splendid portraits of bewhiskered noblemen on the walls. After trying some Polish specialities from the menu, wrap it up with old Polish favourites liqueur ("nalewka"), or a round of chilled vodka.

This place was a real find. It's warm and cosy with excellent service. As for the food, try the Transylvanian steak or the goose fillet - both are tremendous and the prices are very reasonable.

Ristorante delizioso, molto buone le portate e servizio eccellente. Non troppo economico rispetto alla media(circa 40 euro in 2) ma ne vale davvero la pena. Consigliato!

Great restaurant at the back of the Wawel hotel where we were staying. Great Polish dishes of duck , goose, dumplings etc. Very good value for delicious food. Starters and desserts are also great . As good as any of the more expensive restaurants on the main square . We loved it so much we went twice.

We were staying at the Wawel next door, so it was easy to use plus we had a 10 percent discount being hotel guests, which is always attractive. Lovely courtyard (logistics a bit odd as restaurent curls around the hotel, courtyard and part of the restaurant access are through a side street next to the hotel). Restaurant staffed by friendly staff and food was good.

I really liked this restaurant. Tonight it was very quiet, as seemed to be the case everwhere though. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful and we never had to look far for more drinks and more bread. The food was extremely good in two out of three meals (both fish dishes). My goose was tasty yet overdone for my liking (personal taste) The fish however was melt in the mouth fantastic. We shall definately be going back again.

Went there tonight. The look is very good. The atm osphere is cosy ana a little classy at the same time. When I approached the restautrant was empty - which in comparsion to their neighboors - Taco - packed from ground floor to the deepest cellar... So we were a little bit alert. The service was very good. silent, efficient and very friendly. But let's get to the food. The prices are high. You seem to be in a restaurant for tourist. The food is average. Not worth the price. For a meal for two (1 soup in shared) almost no wine 90 PLN seems a little over the top. Recommendation is rather weak then.
