Upbeat atmosphere and Latin-American music comes as a welcoming surprise when you duck in off Cracow's streets, and its followed up with all the specialities you'd expect, including decent steaks, which are not all that easy to find in the city. Smoking and non-smoking areas are available, which is not always the case elsewhere, and you can pay with pretty much any credit card. Its open from 11 am to 11 pm, air-conditioned, and thankfully run by someone who has actually lived in Mexico! A great value three course lunch can be enjoyed between 12 and 2 p.m for under 13 zloty, with a choice of five combinations. This is changed every two weeks, so there's plenty of variety. During the Summer the restaurant stays open til midnight.

Good food, good prices, great service. My favorite accent would have to be the heated melted cheese served with the nachos appetizers.
The owner of Azteca nabbed us on the street and insisted we come in for a free coffee. His hard sell worked, because we went back that night for a full-on Mexican meal, which was spicey and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, the paintings/photographs and decorations were very Mexican in theme, and the staff werer very friendly. They even went as far as putting a chocolate love heart on the top of the Cappucino they thought was for my girlfriend. When they saw me drinking it, they ran over and apologised profusely!
Great food, great decor. Service a bit too quick, just finished our starters and the mains were there.

It's a shame the taxis park right in front of the restaurant, which is not great if you're eating outside, but otherwise Azteca turned out to be a bit of a welcome surprise. We weren't expecting much, but actually had some of the best food during our time in Krakow - everything was freshly prepared and tasty, and the staff cheerful. Good value too.
