Editor's review

Formerly known as Accession Bed and Breakfast, Nocny Krakow is part of a wave of renewal that's moving through this attractive area just beyond the former Old Town wall. Located 5 minutes walk from the Main Square, it offers competitive, cheap prices, which start at 120 pln for a double room with breakfast. It was this part of Cracow that was the most desirable quarter to live in before the war, and looking at restored buildings like this you can see why. Here you're slightly away from the hubbub of the city centre, yet still just a couple of minutes away from the heart of the Old Town. Nocny Krakow offers four bedrooms, three with large beds that would be perfect for a couple, and one with two singles. All have en suite bathrooms and a hearty continental breakfast is included. This is a fine addition to Cracow's guesthouse scene.

Delightful stay at Accession near to centre and beautifully clean and tastefully fitted out. The en-suite was perfect and my lovely high-ceilinged room overlooked a quiet courtyard. There was all I could need in the little kitchen and a computer for my use also. I was greeted warmly and kindly on arrival and felt at home immediately.I cant wait to book again for my next visit!

Very central accommodation, and most comfortable. The availability of a kitchen for taking snacks was a big plus. Our visits to Coffee Street in the mornings were enjoyable. Staff were most helpful and informative

Location was great ... easy access to the city. Rooms are fine, bathrooms well appointed, linens and towels clean. Common space was a big plus for a break in the afternoon. We found that the state of the building both exterior and interior did not meet the expectations of a newly renovated space as shown on the internet. Cleaning needs to be done with more care (under the beds, in all the corners). Breakfast was good and plentiful but was not on site ... which should be disclosed.

The place was dirty, and the woman who runs it doesn't know the meaning of B & B--i.e., rooms aren't made up, no fresh linens/towels, no toilet. What else can be said?

Great little place. B and B was spotlessly clean and very well-run by a friendly bunch. Please can I come back?

The Bed and Breakfast can easily be reached on foot from the main trainstation and the old town is very close. We had a wonderful and comfortable room that made up the continuous pouring rain. The staff was friendly and cooperative. We definitely recommend the Accession BB to other travellers!

Stayed with friends for five nights--worst place ever. It was dirty, no change of towels/linen, no room clean-up, broken bath sink, no toilet paper. When we complained, we were told that such service comes with a three-star hotel, not a B & B!

Went to a great house-party in Krakow on a trip down from Warsaw at the weekend :-) Was good to see old friends - just like old times. BB was perfect place to stay for the 2 nights. Hania, thank you!

We never stay in B&Bs but were personally recommended The Accession by friends who had stayed before. We would recommend the place too. For the price (25 Euros per night each) we have access to comfortable beds, ensuite power showers, breakfast, free internet (which we are writing on now!), CNN on TV, unlimited tea and coffee - a real home from home - and less than a 10 minute stroll from the market square! The hosts are welcoming but not intrusive. If you want the Hilton and 24 hour room service, forget it! But if you want value for money, we recommend you reserve a room now... Oh - and the hosts recommend Kornet Club for live jazz - great fun!

Great place to stay! First time in Krakow. Free internet facility and CNN in room a real bonus and a surprise given the price. Central location, friendly hosts... Thank you!

What a fantastic place. From the minute we arrived Hania made us feel at home. The B and B itself is lovely - decorated in a modern style and very close to the main square. Hania proved to be a mine of knowledge about the local sites and restaurants and was very happy to share this info. Stay there when you are in Krakow!

We have been staying not exactly at Accession Bed & Breakfast but at 'serviced apartment' on Plac Nowy square. Apartment is really great with 2 bedrooms and very big salon with TV and DVD and is a very nice localization for going out. Thank you - great. We come back for Sylvester party at New Year!

Excellent stay in Krakow - highlight of our European adventure. Disappointed by salt mines but mainly very impressed with the Old Town and Kazimieriz. We were extremely impressed by the value for money at the Accession - free internet, beverages etc. and the comfort of the rooms and the warmth of the welcome.

Fantastic B&B. Super power showers. Great location. After 4 weeks toiling around Eastern Europe by train, this was exactly what the doctor ordered - Hania, you are a star! We were oh so pampered with advice on where to go and what to see... Thanks also to Pawel for the Auschwitz tour! Hope to be back again some day.

We had the best B&B in Cracow and even returned after a visit to

the south: near the centre (less than 10 minutes walk), sustaining

breakfast, comfortable and welcoming accommodation. Mike and Hania were a

mine of useful information particularly about nightlife. We look forward to our next visit and plan to send the whole of Scotland to meet you all.

My husband and I had an excellent time in Krakow, largely due to Tom's hospitality and the comfort and convenience of his excellent B&B. He went out of his way to provide us with information and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location can't be beat and the rooms are large and inviting. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks Tom!

This place is absolutely fantastic value for money. Not only is it right in the centre and in a wonderful building but the rooms are modern, spotless and with fantastic private bathrooms with power showers. On top of this, the owner is English and extremely helpful and friendly. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this place and cannot recommend this place to others highly enough...

We had a lovely stay in Accession! The high-ceiling,white interior and parque floor made it a beautiful room. Fabulous bathroom en-suite with a great shower! The breakfast was delicious and should fuel you for the day!!And of course our hosts were the friendliest in all of Cracow..I'm convinced of it! Ten out of ten!

Wow, word sure gets around pretty quick these days. I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests to stay in the Accession and as such had my pick of the rooms. Now I’m returning to Krakow, this time with my girlfriend so I want somewhere really nice to stay & I find it’s fully booked!! So news has spread, Accession is a real gem….. but please, let’s just keep that to ourselves in future.

My husband and I really enjoyed Accession B&B. The rooms were spacious and newly renovated and the location was very good, close to all of the main sites but on a quiet street. In addition the breakfast was as good as at home (ok, it was better) and the owner very hospitable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

On my last trip to Krakow, I stayed at Accession. It has just opened and has a very high quality feel to it. I stayed in a good size bedroom with an amazingly powerful shower in the en-suite bathroom. Tom, the owner, is a mine of local information and certainly made sure I had a good time in Krakow. The location is good, being five minutes walk from the main square. I highly recommend this b and b.

Palatial size bedrooms and bathrooms, it was better than a hotel. They have been done up to an extremely high standard. Tom, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Can't recommend it highly enough.
