A modern, functional sort of a place on the outskirts of the city, Galicya is aimed at groups and those looking for clean, comfortable place to stay at a price much lower than in the Old Town. Easy access from all the main roads leading to Zakopane, Tarnow and Katowice (ring road A-4), Galicya is also only 15 minutes by tram from the city centre. There are 63 rooms, each of which is comfortably furnished and has en-suite bathroom, a telephone and satellite TV. Rooms for disabled guests are also provided

Myself and my partner stayed here for 5 days in January this year, it was exactly as described, clean, staff very friendly and very close to tram lines making it the perfect location if planning to travel around

The hotel is absolutley lovely. The rooms are brilliant sizes, the bathrooms are gorgeous and the dining room is comfortable and welcoming, set up really nicely the hotel staff are really helpful and it's situated in a handy place. Right by a McDonalds, a BP garage and near the tram line into town.

I can't wait to go back to Krakow, it was brilliant.

Visited April 08. Great Location catch tram to centre Krakow last tram 11.00pm but, had no problems getting taxi back, Clean friendly hotel English speaking. Rooms clean shower great. Breakfast continental also had scrambled Eggs and hot Sausages similar to hotdogs open 7.00am till 10.00am. Bar in hotel opens for breakfast but, closes early evening, has an outside setting area for smokers, food looked great but, didn’t have time to eat there always had plenty of customers.

The hotel was full of Italian school kids during my stay, incredibly noisy and not really supervised. Had to complain at 1am when they were still screaming&running round hotel, receptionist not speaking Italian and kids not speaking any other language meant nothing was done about it.

Hotel was ok but got the impression that large school groups were regular visitors, so not suitable for most travellers. Would just advise people to phone to see who else will be there at time of your stay. All staff very friendly though and there was good breakfast spread. Hotel claims to have 24hr internet access for guests, but only computer was behind reception desk so v awkward.

Three History teachers just returned from a 6 night stay at Galicya.

Must be one of the friendliest places we have ever visited, ALL the staff were simply superb!

We were there at a time two school parties were also staying at the Galicya (one Italian and one English). The Hotel even had the foresight tp place us in a quieter part; though I must admit both sets of young people were a credit to there carers and their respective countries.

Spotlessly clean with excellent food and service. One minor gripe, the bar dis close a little early, just a short trip to the Main Square required.

Will definitely be back to Poland and Krakow and, of course, the RT Horel Galicya.

Excellent hotel, clean, tidy, well worth the money. The staff are very helpful although limited English will do all they can. There is one receptionist Dominique and she is just the best she speaks good english and is very very helpful. We were there on a bank holiday and after having a conversation with her about where to go,we decided to return to our room and think about the day,After about 20 minutes she phoned our room to let us know that she had found out what places were open and what were shut even after we had left reception-that to me is service above the call of duty and she did not forget us.Many thanks to all who work here and I would strongly suggest it to anyone else looking for a cheap but good quality hotel in the beautiful city of Krakow
