Camping?

I am looking for a nice area to camp for a couple days around Krakow. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could spend a weekend in the wilderness?

Hey Jacksonry, to be honest I've never thought about camping in the Krakow area. I've been camping out in the mountains near the Czech boarder, but not around Krakow. However, a quick google search came up with these two places: http://campinglochness.blog.onet.pl/ and http://www.campingdebina.com.pl/ Enjoy! Legendary!

Thanks Legendary, but could I get a little more information on this camping you have done near the Czech border? I was more interested in getting out into the woods than finding an actual camp ground. Do you know if its alright to camp in the woods or are there specific areas you have to find? Thanks again.

Hey Jacksonry, I went camping in an area called the Beskid mountains. I was in a place near to the town of Skoczow which is on the way to Cieszyn (which is on the boarder itself). I wasn't staying in a particular campsite as such, but the estate that a friends family own. This was around 5 years ago now and I think they've done some work to it, so not sure it would be possible to do it again. I wouldn't recommend just pitching up somewhere as I'm not entirely certain on the laws around that. Google search "campsites near Krakow" and you'll get a whole load of results. Only problem is none of them really seem to be in the "middle of the woods" per say, but at lest you can see what is on offer. Enjoy! Legendary!
