If you believe in the Old Polish proverb, "the house is rich not from its walls, but from its dumplings", it is necessary to admit that Krakow is one of the richest cities in the world.

From 11th to 15th of August, for the fifteenth time, we will meet at the annual Pierogi Festival. In Maly Rynek, the small market square,- aside from several days of feasting and culinary competitions - there is also an artistic and musical program. This year, you will be able to try pierogi from 15 different gastronomic points, which will win two prizes: jury award statue of St. Jack with dumplings and audience award - the statuette of Casimir the Great. For the best pierogi will be able to vote anyone who visits the Small Market on 13th August, tastes the offered products and completes the contest coupon. The vote will last until the 18th. The winners will know the day later - whether they will win dry pierogi or sweet, we will find out at noon. The last day of the Festival (Tuesday, August 15) will begin with Mass. In the intention of gastronomists and merchants of Cracow (St. Mary's Basilica, 11:15), a ceremonial procession around the Market Square and the traditional herbs (Little Market, 12:30). As part of the "Wonderful Power of Bouquets" event accompanying the Pierogi Festival, the stage will feature florist shows, artistic performances and a contest for the most beautiful herb bouquet.
