Women's rights in Poland and in the EU: challenges&opportunities

You feel a bit lost about the recent events in Poland regarding abortion and you want to understand the current situation? What about the legislation of other Member States? How is the European Union acting in this field? What are the current challenges and opportunities regarding women’s rights in the European Union? How to act to improve women's rights at the local, regional, national levels? These are the questions we will answer during the conference "Women's rights in Poland and in the EU: current challenges and opportunities" with our guests:


- Dr Katarzyna Zielińska is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sociology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Her academic interests focus on Religion in Europe, theories of secularization, secularism, post-secular society, gender and democracy in Central Eastern European societies, transformations of collective identities in contemporary Europe and in the EU.

- Mgr Joanna Grzymała-Moszczyńska - psychologist, diversity trainer and activist. She was actively engaged in #CzarnyProtest and other feminist initiatives. Member of National Council of Razem. Her professional interests focus on psychological aspects of migration, theory-based anti-prejudice interventions and collective actions.
