THE 17th GRAND DRAGONS PARADE

17th GREAT DRAGONS PARADE. DRAGONS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA

Krakow, 3-4 June 2017

At the first weekend of June, the Groteska Theatre invites you to Krakow to take part in a unique colourful dragons festival. Since 2000 we have organised the annual Great Dragons Parade – a spectacular event gathering thousands of dragon’s enthusiasts from Poland, Europe and all over the world. This time the inspiration for dragons figures will be the culture of Mediterranean countries, their rich history, visual art tradition, ornamentation.
The Dragons Family Picnic on the Vistula Boulevards will open the dragon weekend. There will be something for everyone during our dragons festival. We have prepared plenty of attractions: competitions, a funfair, various stands and games.
The first day of the dragon’s feast will conclude with the breath-taking Great Open-Air Show on the Vistula, where gigantic dragons will float in the air, dancing to the sounds of music and accompanied with fireworks and laser effects.
On Sunday Kraków will witness The Great Dragons Parade. More than a thousand children will participate in the colourful pageant full of various dragon creatures. The Finest Dragon will be selected from among over 30 dragon figures.
All enthusiasts of dragons and good fun are invited to participate in this Poland’s unique event – the dragons festival!
