SUMMER IN MOCAK FOR INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

The MOCAK Collection

English guided tours of the exhibition for families with children

During July 2015, every Tuesday from 11 am to 12 noon we will be offering guided tours in English for families with children.

Children love to explore! We want to show the MOCAK Collection in a child-friendly way, so as to allow both kids and their families to develop a better understanding of contemporary art. This is a valuable opportunity for young viewers to engage with art in a way that is both playful and active.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

Guided tours for all visitors (in English)

During July and August 2015, every Tuesday from 3 pm to 4 pm visitors will have the opportunity to explore Gender in Art, a temporary exhibition at MOCAK, with a museum guide.

We aim to offer viewers a chance to both experience the works on display and gain insight into their content. The guided tours for non-Polish visitors will be in English.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

Nice to Meet You at MOCAK

On 25 July from 5 pm to 7 pm we would like to invite the international residents of Krakow to participate in a museum activity designed especially for them. Everyone else is also welcome to join us!

The event is an exploration of identity. How do people from other countries who live in Krakow relate to it through art? The event has been tailor-made for an international audience. It consists of a guided tour of our exhibitions (Ten Portraits of Jews of the 20th Century and Gender in Art) and a workshop. Participants will reflect on identity in relation to selected art works and have a chance to explore their own identity as well as to apply their ideas during a creative workshop. We are looking forward to meeting you and introducing MOCAK to you!

We will be discussing how we define and express our identity, having made a home in another country – a context shared by all the members of our target audience.

The event will be held in English by our Museum Educator from Croatia Sabina Oroshi. Both teenagers and adults are welcome. Registration required: education@mocak.pl or by phone: +48 12 263 40 29.
