New Season At the Opera: Mefistofele Et. Alt.

Inaugurating the new artistic season 2014/2015 is Arrigo Boito’s “Mefistofele”, directed by Tomasz Konina and conducted by maestro Tomasz Tokarczyk. The production features both Polish and foreign singers, including Daniel Borowski, Tomasz Raff, Volodymyr Pankiv, Vasyl Grokholskyi, Maria Stattin, Anna Wierzbicka, Agnieszka Cząstka, Elodie Hache and Elisabeth Teige. The premiere takes place on September 25t, and will subsequently be staged on 26, 28 and 30 September 2014.

Starting in September, also other Krakow Opera gems are back in the repertoire, including Puccini's Madame Butterfly, Bizet's Carmen, Rossini's Cinderella, Verdi's La Traviata, Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice, as well as the ever popular favourite, Opera Unlimited, an educational spectacle in which the orchestra and soloists of the Krakow Opera stage fragments of the greatest opera, operetta, musical and ballet works.
