Exhibition by Krzysztof S. Król -

Title of the exhibition: „PARADISE LOST”

Part I: Paradise, Part II: Home, Part III: Hedonism, Part IV: Militarism, Part V: Explosion, Part VI: Rebirth.

The exhibition of paintings by Krzysztof Sławomir Król, raises relentless questions concerning the sense of existence. The story tells about the beginning of the world, the idyllic paradise, the temptation and the original sin; and although it does not tell us anything about its direct reasons,

it reminds us of its results. The artist shows a normal existence, full of ordinary happiness, sadness, love and care. He presents also an unbridled egoism, joyful hedonism and a grotesque aggression.

The central point of this story focuses on the explosion of the accumulated evil, which destroys the existing world. However, man fails to destroy it completely. Under the water surface a new life is born. Fairness and will to live finally win – man has an opportunity for hope,

but does he still have a chance to regain the paradise…?

Krzysztof Slawomir Król - Krakow's artist, living and working in Kraków. His works, which include paintings in all media as well as drawings, are based on metaphors and self invented symbolism. Krzysztof express his inner-self by giving new meaning to items found in our world. His art evokes feelings hard to describe in terms of logic. The subjects of his works are undefined and elusive beings.
