Editor's review

This distinguished enterprise is dedicated to the legacy of Tadeusz Kantor, one of the brightest stars in Poland's avant-garde galaxy. Kantor revolutionised the world of drama with his independent Cricot 2 theatre, drawing disciples from across the globe (no mean feat during the stringent communist era). Cricoteka, the Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, which he himself founded, aimed at preserving the ideas of Cricot 2, yet not in a dead librarian system but in the minds and imagination of the coming generations. The enterprise is still involved in the staging of Kantor's works, and they own a wealth of material from the hands of the genius himself. Kantor's work as both an artist and a stage-designer are well-documented. In September 2014 Cricoteka's grand new seat opened in Podgorze district.
