Elephants Rally In Budapest

80 life size elephant babies have been situated all around Budapest. Why? Because of artists such as Lszl Fehr, dm Balogh, Pl Breznay and Dvora Bochman, as well as art students who decided to take part in an exhibition which will help thousands of homeless men and women in Budapest.

Although the elephant figures have the same shape, each of them is uniquely decorated. You can spot pink elephants in glitter (even without the booze!), zebra stripes and even some that will remind you of a china tea-set.

Balzs Csiks, who is the director of the exhibition, stated: While staying focused on our main mission, that is helping the homeless, we are pleased to be able to give an opportunity for young artists to show their talent for a wider audience. We feel honored that so many brilliant artists joined our initiative contributing to our mission to provide shelter for the homeless in the upcoming winter.

After staying on the streets in the summer, the elephant calves will be put on auction. The money collected during the event will be put into a good cause of restoring a homeless shelter in Budapest.
