Two New Michelin Stars for Berlin

Two Berlin restaurants have been newly awarded a single star in the prestigious Michelin restaurant guide for 2010. The recognized restaurants are Die Quadriga at the Brandengurger Hof hotel at Eislebener Strasse 14 and Reinstoff at Schlegelstrasse 26c.

The discriminating Michelin writers only choose restaurants with the highest class of haute cuisine for their guides, rewarding one, two, or very rarely even three stars. Germany now has a total of 225 starred restaurants in the guide.

For a taste of Berlin's other single starred restaurants look for FACIL, First Floor, Gabriele, Hugos, Lorenz Adlon, Margaux, Rutz, or VAU. To try something truly special head to Berlin's only two-starred restaurant Fischers Fritz led by chef Christian Lohse.
