"Street Food Thursday" Premiers Today

Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg hosts the first edition of the new weekly event "Street Food Thursday" today, daily Berliner Zeitung reports. More than twenty cooks will make and sell freshly prepared quick meals from different countries.
Besides ambitious amateur cooks, Michelin-starred chef Stefan Hartmann will offer delicacies on the first "Street Food Thursday". Hartman plans on preparing snacks made of fresh herring, peas and stewed radishes, according to the newspaper. Apart from German traditional cuisine, visitors can expect international street food classics like pies and Korean Kimchi. If you are indisposed on Thursday, you can also taste healthy snacks and reginal products at Markthalle Neun the rest of the week. Every day, you can go there for a late breakfast or lunch and a cup of coffee. On weekends, various merchants sell regionally produced food, drinks and flowers.
