Cheap, central, comfortable! It doesn't get much better than that in the hunt for budget accommodation in Berlin. Beds in a Helter Skelter dormitory start from 14 Euros a night, the hostel is situated just north of the Spree (and easy walking distance from Brandenburg Gate and Museuminsel), plus the hostel prides itself on the top condition of its sleeping quarters and bathrooms. And if you're here for more than just the sights you'll also be pleased to know that Helter Skelter Hostel tries to offer some of that authentic backpacker experience with friendly staff keen to impart their local knowledge, and a kitchen and social room for exchanging travellers' tales.
